Hi, Next time you have any contact with Bob Gregson, please let him know that my Dad is absolutely chuffed with his quote in Bob’s excellent book, and has been boasting about it to his mates. I have a copy myself, and the word ‘meticulous’ doesn’t really do it justice does it? Full of really good stuff, particularly impressed with how elegant the original East Lancs viaduct and approach was before the replacement with embankment and Iron Girder affair. Also there is a cool chapter about Park Hotel which is interesting to me as I was responsible for the fitting out of the building with telephony in the late 80’s as I was Telecomms manager at Lancs County Council. So I got the run of the building, including going up to the top of the tower which is full of graffiti from WW2. Regards, Phil
